Subcommittees
Regional subcommittees are formed to help the region carry out specific services that support NA members, groups, and communities throughout our area. These committees focus on important tasks such as outreach, communication, events, public information, hospitals and institutions, and fellowship development. Their efforts help ensure that the message of recovery is available to addicts seeking a new way of life.
Serving on a subcommittee gives members an opportunity to contribute, build unity, and support the continued growth of Narcotics Anonymous. Through collective service, we help strengthen our fellowship today while preparing to reach those who may need us tomorrow.
Regional subcommittees coordinate many of the services that support NA groups and communities throughout the Red River Region, including outreach, public information, hospitals and institutions, activities, communications, and fellowship development.
Service on a subcommittee gives members an opportunity to stay involved, build unity, and help carry the message of recovery to addicts seeking a new way of life.
Hospitals & Institutions (H&I)
Members carry the message of recovery into hospitals, treatment centers, detox units, correctional and lockdown facilities, and other institutions where addicts may not otherwise have access to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Through these efforts, we help ensure that the still-suffering addict has an opportunity to hear that recovery is possible.
Members helps carry the message of Narcotics Anonymous to professionals and community members who may come into contact with addicts, including healthcare providers, educators, social workers, and community leaders. By helping others better understand NA and the hope of recovery we offer, we increase the chances that the still-suffering addict can find our meetings and discover a new way to live.
